It's been a week and a half since the announcement of the book and I know some people have begun reading. If not, don't worry--there's still time to catch up. But everybody who's gotten a chance to start digging into it--what do you think? Okay, so has anyone else actually finished the book? I thought it was pretty good, though I do have a few comments.
ReplyDelete1. It may just have been my copy of the book, but did anyone else notice that a bunch of times when "f" started a sentence it wasn't capitalized?
2. I find it very unusual, though it may have just been a product of the time, that it was so acceptable to drink and drive. 'Oh, let's just stop at three bars like we do every year on our way to pick up our kids.' 'Okay, dear.'
3. It's been a while since I read it, so correct me if I'm wrong, but Sid was at the first bar, right? If that's the case, how did he get to the second bar where the main character picked him up?
